Each of the bears on this site is a one-of -a kind or a small limited edition, individually needlesculpted to create unique character and expressions. Most are made from the highest quality Schulte mohair and are either hand-dyed or overdyed and highlighted. Each is hand shaded and contoured with layers of colour, washed over a number of times , depending on the depth of colour desired. I handsculpt each nose and claw or paw/claw set with co-polymer clay(Fimo, Sculpey etc). They have either multi jointing (6 joints and over) or are armatured, to provide realistic posing. They are filled with polyfill or polyfill and glass/plastic pellets, to give a weightier feel. The photos you are about to view show a variety of award winning grizzlies, polars and pandas and other new pieces. Each has been adopted unless otherwise stated, but I can be contacted to create your own unique bear. I am proud to say that since first competing nine yrs ago, I have beeen winning major awards amongst my peers and have now reached "Master " class status. Although I have been having sucess with my bears, there are many wonderful artists that I admire and respect, and will continue aspiring to uniqueness and quality in my work.
